The Law Department of UiTM Perlis Branch was basically established to provide servicing to four main faculties in the university namely; Faculty of Accountancy, Faculty of Business Management, Faculty of Sports Science & Recreation and Faculty of Architecture, Planning and Surveying. Students from these faculties need to take law courses as requirements for their program. The aim of introducing the courses to the non-law students is to ensure that they acquire knowledge of professional framework, ethics and law associated with their field of studies. This knowledge is important for the students when they enter their future workplace. Students who register for the law courses will be assessed throughout semester. There are on-going assessments as well as final exams. In addition, the department offers legal advisory services by lecturers who are experts in contract law, commercial law, administrative law and other issues related to legal matters. It also provides legal advice to the Students Affair Division and Academic Affairs Division for matters relating to disciplinary offense and students’ disciplinary hearing.
